Hungry for a home-cooked meal? Buy a robot.

Moley Robotics has announced that they will release a robot chef by 2017.

Collaborating with the Shadow Robot Company, Moley Robotics has created a pair of robotic hands which they are teaching to cook. At a recent technology show in Germany, the robot chef showed off its culinary skills by making a crab bisque - it was taught by MasterChef Tim Anderson, who demonstrated the steps while being filmed in 3D. Over 120 sensors helped the robot chef to read and mimic his hand movements.

In two years, this robot will come with a library of over 2,000 possible meals, as well as a built-in fridge and dishwasher. The projected price is $14,800.
